What happens when it is real?
CosmopolitiGAL is a show about the largest questions we have: who we are, what else may be out there, and how we would meet it without losing ourselves.
I'm Laerta Mitro. I came to these questions through economics, systems thinking and two decades of reading far outside my field. I take consciousness and contact seriously, and I hold my own views to evidence. I won't tell you contact has happened, and I won't give you a date. Preparation has value precisely because we don't know.
Every idea on the show is heard twice: once from the model I think with, and once from the strongest model that disagrees. Where the evidence runs against me, I'll say so.

About Laerta
Laerta (Carcani) Mitro
Creator and host · Economist · Real estate investment professional · Independent researcher
I'm an economist by training and an investor by profession. I hold a Master's in Economics and an Honours degree in International Economics and Business, and I've spent about two decades in institutional real estate investment management, including director-level roles at major Canadian financial institutions, where the work is reading systems, testing assumptions and pricing risks that aren't visible yet. Alongside that, I research geopolitics and the global economy independently.
For just as long, I've been reading far outside my field: consciousness, ancient history and the literature of non-human intelligence. CosmopolitiGAL is where those two halves meet. I bring an analyst's habits, sources, evidence and the strongest counterargument, to questions most analysts won't touch.
The podcast and the course are my own independent work, offered free. I'm not affiliated with any institute or organisation.
